David Howell

David Howell is a professional painter who was born in Hertfordshire in 1939 and until recently was based in Yorkshire. He now lives in Devon in a 16th century farmhouse with a studio in a thatched barn. One of the reasons for moving was to find new painting material and David is now enjoying the challenge of West Country landscapes and coastlines. He still keeps his links with Yorkshire and makes regular return trips to the area.

David is an elected member of the Society of Equestrian Artists, and his paintings are shown in their annual exhibition as well as the Royal Society of Marine Artists and various other exhibitions at the Mall Galleries in London.

His work can be seen in other London galleries and several provincial galleries as well as overseas, in the Middle East, U.S.A, and Hong Kong.
