Lynda Logan
Born 11th June 1943, Darton, Nr Barnsley,South Yorkshire.
From an early age drew and painted.
She married in 1963 after meeting her husband Terry Logan in the Publicity dept. of a large engineering company in Keighley where they worked together.
They emigrated to Vancouver, Canada where she worked in photography. Her two children were born in Vancouver and from then on she was a full time mum.
Returning to England in 1972 with her family, she opened a craft shop where she sold her husbands paintings. After the children left for University she started to paint again in oils. She sold her first painting in 1988.
She enjoys painting a variety of subjects, children, flowers, animals, landscapes and portraits.
One of her "claims to fame" is that she was one of those WI ladies that posed nude for "That Calendar" to raise money for Leukaemia Research. Her husband Terry Logan, also an artist, took the photographs.
