Richard Snowden

"Dales Diary" by Richard Snowden
Richard Snowden was born in Dunkeswick in 1950. His compulsion to draw was evident from an early age and consequently he has painted all his life, even selling sketches and oil paintings at school.
Richard had his first one man exhibition at 18 years old - it was a sell out. He has had numerous exhibitions since, painting and exhibiting all over the world.
Richard has a restless energy and has to paint. He fills sketchbook after sketchbook with his free eclectic style that has been unhindered by formal training. His love of colour and an observant eye are unequivocally profound. Richard works in oil, watercolour, crayon, ink or a mixture of these media. He paints dramatic landscapes, domestic animals, lustful couples, provocative women and anything else that inspires him!
