"Autumn Colours, Rannoch Moor, Scotland" by Robert Dutton
Robert received his formal training at Kingston upon Hull College & Design, graduating with a
B.A. (Hons) degree in Graphic Design and Illustration.
He worked initially as a graphic designer for a commercial studio and in a freelance capacity for a number of private practices in the North of England. Throughout this time he maintained an active involvement in the field of fine arts and, since choosing to exhibit his work more extensively, he has received wide recognition as an accomplished artist.
Robert has travelled extensively throughout the Mediterranean, where the unique atmosphere has long been a source of inspiration to artists. The intense sunlight, deep shadows, lively street markets and relaxed café society, together with stunning land and seascapes are captured in his distinctive images expressing all the vigour and excitement of the region.
Working mainly in acrylics, pastel and mixed media, he employs experimental techniques and a rich palette to produce paintings of sumptuous colour and vitality.
