Chantry House Gallery NewsChristmas Exhibition 2004A stimulating and varied exhibition of original paintings opens on Saturday 13 November at the CHANTRY HOUSE GALLERY in Ripley. It is set to be a most interesting show with many contrasting styles, subject matter and media. Work by many of the Gallery’s favourite and most collectable artists will be on display, with emphasis on affordable art for the Christmas period. The Exhibition is of particular importance, as it will feature the work of DAVID HOWELL. David is an elected member of the Society of Equestrian Artists, and his paintings are shown in their annual exhibition as well as the Royal Society of Marine Artists and various other exhibitions at the Mall Galleries in London. His work can be seen in other London galleries as well as overseas, in the Middle East, U.S.A. and Hong Kong. Other artists exhibiting alongside David in this varied exhibition are Clare Granger, David Greenwood, Tony Holahan, Guiliana Lazzerini, James Naughton, the late Pat Nettleship, Ina Pickard, Shirley Schofield, Alan Thorpe, Nel Whatmore and James Wheeler. The exhibition runs from 13 November – 12 December 2004. Chantry House Gallery is open during the winter months Wednesday – Saturday 11.00am – 4.00pm, Sunday 12.00noon – 4.00pm.
