Sue McDonagh Solo Exhibition

The exhibition runs from Saturday, 8th September to Sunday, 30th September 2007.

Sue's joyous appreciation of life is abundantly evident in the vibrant quality of her work. Her paintings are brought to life with her lively and spontaneous approach. She particularly loves the medium of pastels but will often used mixed media to explore texture and form.

Sue's expressive interpretation of her subject has made her a highly sought after and collectable artist. She exhibits widely, including the London galleries - the Mall and Westminster Galleries, has shown with the Pastel Society and finalised for the prestigious Laing Landscape Exhibition.

Her colourful and contemporary landscape, seascape and figurative paintings are a joyous alternative to more representational work. An avid 'people watcher', she enjoys capturing a story in her studies - children, each little figure engrossed by a reflection, shiny pebble or other treasure. Sue also has an eye for capturing the comic in our everyday lives and is resident cartoonist on the prestigious Picture Business magazine.
