Chris Mouncey
Chris was born in 1954 in Felixstowe, Suffolk and brought up in the north of England from the age of two. After marrying and starting a family he moved to the Durham dales where he has lived since 1982. He has painted water colours as a profession since 1980, specialising in landscape, seascape and architecture.
Chris has exhibited widely in the north, including solo shows at the University of Durham and the Bowes Museum in Barnard Castle, County Durham, as well as venues in Cumbria, Lincolnshire, Herefordshire, North Yorkshire and London.
Chris finds his inspiration in landscape, working to convey the effects of light on land and water.
