Laura Wallace

Laura works predominantly in oil. Her bold use of colour and generous application of paint make for a distinctive style that allows her to capture a variety of subjects.

At the centre of Laura’s work is a quality of capturing the soul and atmosphere of the subject – an attempt to evoke a “feeling” rather than a representation. This is the essence of all her paintings, whether it is a fragile vase of flowers or a wild, unruly sea.

Laura had her first solo exhibition at the Lennox Gallery in 2005. Since then she has had further solo exhibitions at Gallery 53 in October 2008 and at McKenna & Co in January 2010. Laura has also sold at the affordable art fair and in various group exhibitions.
